Studio Ghibli Co-Founder Suzuki Points to Hideaki Anno as the Next-Miyazaki during TIFF press conference
"Studio Ghibli co-founder, producer and former president Toshio Suzuki took the stage with Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno to announce the complete list of 50 of Anno’s work from student films and promo videos to TV programs and theatrical features to be screened for October’s 27th edition of Tokyo International Film Festival’s special “The World of Hideaki Anno" programming. During this, Suzuki spoke to Anno’s role in the future of anime, and the ever-popular subject of a next-Miyazaki, insisting that after Miyazaki, it has to be Anno. The idea of featuring Anno’s work as TIFF’s centerpiece was suggested by Suzuki after festival organizers asked for ideas. He explained “Hayao Miyazaki would have been featured if he hadn’t retired.” Anno responded to Suzuki’s offer “I couldn’t say no to Suzuki-san, since he has done so much for me”.
Suzuki also said, “I am certain that Anno will be the one to lead Japanese animation into the next decade” and “only people with talent can create. I would like him to cherish the god-given talent and keep producing”. However, given Anno’s responsibilities towards his own studio, Khara, no comments suggested that plans exist for Anno to take a role at Studio Ghibli. Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno’s career has deep ties with the works of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. Hideaki Anno worked as an animator for Studio Ghibli forerunner Topcraft on Miyazaki’s Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. Anno impressed the crew so much that Toshio Suzuki has said that there was talk of making the ecological epic a trilogy with Anno directing the middle feature. He later voiced the lead in Miyazaki’s final movie, The Wind Rises.”
^is this Anno taking one step closer to direct a Nausicaa sequel at Studio Ghibli?
in a recent interview Miyazaki stated when he suffered a health scare during production of the Wind rises the first person that came to mind to complete his work was Anno and in the same interview he also gave Anno the blessing to create a Nausicaa sequel if he desired.

I want to do this at some point.

rhymesexual asked: Okay mama I just saw a post about this and I was wondering if you'd expand on it. Imagine in Clear's bad ending, his programming glitches and he reverts back to how he was before Toue brainwashed him and he sees what he did to Aoba.

Hmm yes…

I wonder when this might happen during Clear’s ‘process’? It actually sort of seems like things are headed in this direction in the game. Clear sheds a tear just before he cuts Aoba’s vocal cords, after all.

So let’s say this happens down the line after Clear has finished his work. Aoba is totally Clear’s ideal ‘doll’ until one day—

Clear comes back.

What if it was right while he was in the middle of raping Aoba, too? He’d pull back and just… start shaking violently. I think he’d remember everything that he’d done. He’d just be seeing it with new eyes. He’d cover Aoba up and sink to his knees. I see the scenario in uusui's drawing happening then. Clear would be screaming and wailing. Every single fiber and circuit of his being would be burning in agony.

He’s done worse than kill Aoba. He’s destroyed him mind body and soul.

So imagine Clear deciding to try and ‘fix’ Aoba using Toue’s technology? Toue doesn’t really care. He’s gotten all the data he wanted from Aoba. Clear can do whatever he wants with him now.

Oh imagine the Alpha’s taunting Clear as he worked to restore his ‘master’. Just… imagine it.

Aoba’s arms and legs would be the easiest to replace. The eyes would be tricky, but not impossible. Virus and Trip’s eyes were altered after all. The technology is there.

Clear wouldn’t be able to look Aoba in the eye as he continued to try and ‘fix’ him. Not until he can make things right.

Aoba just stares at him. He reaches out and touches Clear’s arm all the time.

It’s obvious Aoba is trying to tell him something.

Clear does his best to soothe him. He’d say things like “Soon, Aoba-san. Soon you can tell me everything you want to say. Soon.”

At long last, Clear would be able to restore Aoba’s voice. Guh, he’d be so happy when Aoba woke up from the procedure. Clear would be stroking Aoba’s face, crying bittersweet tears, so relieved that he’d managed to ‘undo’ the horrors that he’d inflicted upon the person he loves most.

So he’d ask him, “Aoba-san, what have you been trying to tell me? You can tell me now. Tell me anything.”

Aoba’s lips would part.

And in barely more than a whisper he would say:

"Please… kill me…"

It’s the only thing he ever says ever again. Clear’s heart would shatter, but he’d refuse to do it. No matter how many times Aoba asks. He’d work for months to try an restore Aoba’s happiness.

But he cannot.

There are some things that can never be fixed once they are broken.

Finally, one day, Clear would comply. He would hold Aoba in his arms, weeping uncontrollably. He’d tell him that he loved him thousands of times. He’d start to sing the Jellyfish Song as he tightened his grip around Aoba’s neck.

I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion and have differing views and whatnot but how the fuck do you not like dogs

Seriously though
